Some of my current skincare faves
Here is a selection of skincare products I used these past two months or so.
Being a makeup artist, I used to focus more on beauty rather than skincare, but I have been a lot more interested in skincare recently, especially finding an online skincare community of Instagram of such detail-oriented individuals, I started learning to love and take better care of my skin.
Most of these products I had received in beauty subscriptions and got to try them for a while.
Avène Eau Thermale is one of the best moisturizers I have used. It is light with SPF 50, I wore this throughout winter basically every time I left home. It also dissolves nicely on my skin and the makeup looks great on top. It is definitely a great product.
Delia Organics dose of C eye magnify. I guess it is a hydrating product for sure, the aloe gel is pretty soothing and cooling when I apply it under my eyes, it eases the puffiness. I used it for three months. I still have some left.
Whish pumpkin lip scrub. This is the best lip scrub I have tried. It smells great, feels great on my lips and removes all excess dry skin. Love it
Palmetto Derma Pore Purifier. I used this for a month and I do like it. But I am using it only on my t-zone. I especially use this on my nose area, where I have a lot of pores. First I use my extractor to get rid of the blackheads, then I apply this on top and let it sit for 20 minutes before washing my face. It seems to work well.
Dermelect Cosmeceuticals Spider Vein Treatment. I am a bit disappointed in this since it did not do much for me. I have spider veins on my nostrils so I used this for 3 weeks, and did not notice any difference whatsoever. The reviews are good though so maybe I will continue applying this.
Little Barn Apothecary Aloe and rosewater mist is great. Very refreshing and I have been using this after workout t just hydrate my face and reduce the redness.
Murad skin perfecting lotion. I am still not very certain about this. I used this a few times under my makeup and it worked well. It is also hydrating. It contains retinol which is vitamin A derivatives that unclog pores, boost collagen to reduce fine lines, and speed cell turnover to even out discoloration and smooth the skin. I think I need to keep applying this for four weeks to see what kind of difference it will do for me.
Whish mud mask is another alternative I switch with Palmetto derma. This seems to be much more fluid but it exfoliates gently.
Juice Beauty eye concentrate. I got this out of a beauty subscription as well and it works well for dry under eyes. It is soothing and hydrating. They also use organic products.
